Reserch Methods

After studying different methods, I decided to choose qualitative method for my research , because my first chosen method was mix method ( combination of qualitative & quantitative method). Choosing one research method enable me to have more focus on the subject.

Qualitative research collect data, then by analysing collected data  achieve practical results. This study collect related data by reviewing different types of festivals and stakeholders and then conducts to gathering data for current festivals in Kashan. Interviewing with local residents and organisers enable me to analysis different aspects, possible potentials and issues, conceptualising and comparing them with other successful destinations and other standard models, lead to achieve a way to become attractive tourism destination.

First experience is always exciting and somehow difficult. Studying in an international environment is my first experience. I decided to study the MA International Tourism Management at University of Greenwich as one of my interesting subjects .In addition, I have some background from this field while obtaining a tour guide certificate in Iran. My passion for travelling and knowing different cultures motivated me to continue studies in tourism. I would like to continue my studies in PhD degree and wish to teach tourism subjects in a university in the future.

This is my first blog which is created for my dissertation topic: How cultural tourism is perceived in Iran: focusing on festival and event tourism in Iran.
The topic may change but the concept is the same. I would like to analyse all existent festivals and events in Iran, potentials, issues and explain how they affect tourism industry in positive way, how we can maintain the current festivals and events and how we can survive some traditional festivals and events...
Hope I enjoy my learning journey...
